Welcome to the home of cycling and mountain biking.
Whether you are a downhill mountain bike nut or a recreational weekend rider, a road cyclist or a cycle-to-work commuter, we aim to entertain and inform.
It's important to have the right gear when cycling. Check out our range of cycle clothing including such items as jerseys, lycra shorts, jackets, rain coats, gloves, mitts and more. Our collection has styles and prices to suit every cyclist. Whether you cycle to work or go downhill racing, we have it all.
More people cycling, more safely, more often, is a simple but powerful equation.
Individuals, communities, the economy and society as a whole have much to gain from increased participation in cycling.
However, the benefits of cycling run much deeper than balance sheets or carbon footprints. It's a crucial life skill, giving children an early road sense as they take their first steps towards independence. As well as offering easy, exhilarating exercise, it also helps young people develop what psychologists call resilience the crucial ability to assess and navigate through risk.
The notion that greater participation in mountain biking will reduce absenteeism in the workplace, for example, might raise a chortle among observers more inclined to imagine an influx of admissions to casualty departments.
There is, however, much in the Mountain Biking Strategy for Scotland, launched earlier this year, that amounts to more than mere wishful thinking and, moreover, seems eminently achievable. Scotland has traditionally hidden shy of pursuing a world lead in anything much, but its champions here are well-supported in their claims that mountain biking is already a Scottish success story and that maximising its potential will benefit the nation in all sorts of ways.
British Cycling is urging the nation’s bike riders who are signed up to the social network Twitter to help back Mark Cavendish for BBC Sports Personality of the Year by using the hashtag #CAV4SPOTY in tweets mentioning him.
