"Izzy Sez - Cycling IS...
A great feeling with the best components
People
often ask, when should I upgrade my bike? That's up to you but when
things wear out is an obvious time.
When your training means that it is
the bike, which is holding you back, and not that extra 10lbs you
were carrying, upgrade.
Once
you have reached a training or personal objective, buy yourself that
stem, new computer, saddle or whatever your heart desires. Upgrades
do not have to cost a fortune, see brake blocks. One other inexpensive
upgrade is lightweight inner tubes - any reduction in rolling weight
makes cycling easier. Infact one of the best places to start the
process of upgrading is the wheels. Hand built wheels are "different" and
need not be much more expensive than factory made.
And don't forget, upgrades do not
always have to be functional or performance related. Blue or red
bolts look great and as for titanium ones, well we could eat them
all day!
